The original purpose of this blog was to discover the joy of raising my own hens. My blog is expanding now to my other interests as they come about...including our favorite interests - grand parenting, traveling, crafting, gardening, and our occasional diy projects.
A work in progress...surely you will see lots about chickens but the story expands quickly :)

Sample Coop Design for just a few hens. I can think of a few ways to pretty this up, however they have built an arbor to grow vines around it. Love the ease of cleaning and collecting the eggs. I would like a longer run for the girls.
This is a really nice coop, more of a condo for Chickens. I like the design and the door for visiting. This would go well in an area I have in mind for my Chicken run. Note the doors on the side for harvesting the eggs.
